Maintenance Assistant

Purpose: To maintain a high level of cleanliness of the Hunger Mountain Co-op and ensure appropriate recycling.

• In addition, snow shoveling in the winter months on an as-needed basis.

Status: Reports to Facilities Manager

Pay Level 3

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning - complete all tasks on cleaning list daily.
• Clean bathrooms upstairs and downstairs.
• Clean the selling floor after the store is closed.
• Mop conference room and staff lounge.
• Set-up and maintain all recycling stations throughout the store.
• Vacuum and mop upstairs.
• Clean outside walkways in warmer weather; snow shoveling in winter.
• Be responsible for safety in the workplace by creating a safe work environment, reporting safety concerns to a manager or member of the Safety Committee, and adhering to safety rules and regulations.
• Follow department policies and procedures.

• Ability to be physically present onsite at the Co-op to perform the requirements of this position.
